Loan Procedures

KHAS Library develops policies and practices that prioritize equal and effective access to Library collections for Kadir Has University members in support of their educational and research activities.

Members of Kadir Has University may borrow materials from The Library collections for specific periods and renew them according to the type of material.

Borrowing / Renewals

Borrowed materials may be recalled before their due date if they are needed for the Reserve Collection or to meet an urgent need of another university member.

Student Reserve materials with two or more copies may be borrowed for longer periods (1, 2, or 3 days), depending on demand and usage levels.

For materials temporarily obtained through Interlibrary Loan (ILL), the lending policies of the supplying library determine the loan period. Requests for loan renewals must be sent to [email protected].

Lost and Damaged Information Resources

The current list price provided by suppliers is used when calculating the cost of lost or damaged information resources. For out-of-print materials, the replacement cost is determined through research conducted with available vendors and suppliers.

The processing fee is 60 TL for 2026.

Borrowing privileges are suspended until the replacement cost of the lost or damaged information resource has been fully compensated.
